Twin Val'kyr 25-man hardmode Novenber 17th, 2009. It took us a few resets longer than expected mainly because we weren't giving up on doing the Val'kyrs the way it was intended without any cheap backdoor tactics or tricked shield interrupts. Was it worth it? I don't know but it certainly felt that way when the two undead vrykul birdwomen fell to the wooden floor with a thump. It was a nervewrecking fight. Every second felt as if it could be the last and one mistake would wipe the raid in a split second. Two missed orbs or a miscalculated heal and the deceptively angellike combatants would eat us alive. It was nice to see almost everyone pick up on the tactic pretty fast so that we could get down to the excecution of it immediately - especially with so many new players in the guild lately. Healers did a tremendous work on this one as did those of you who managed to both dodge and catch orbs while still managing to deliver some decent damage. And lastly thanks to all of you who kept belief up while seeing so many other guilds across the world beat this easy mode. It's nice to beat the game sometimes too. Now we can and should feel proud of ourselves while farming it.
